Dirty chai tea latte is an indulgent yet comforting drink that combines rich, spiced flavors of a traditional chai tea with the boldness of espresso. It’s sweet, creamy, and slightly spicy - perfect for warming you up on chilly days!
Boil the water In a small saucepan over medium high heat. Turn off the heat and add the tea bags. Steep for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, make the espresso in an espresso maker or brew extra strength coffee. Add this to two mugs.
After the 5 minute rest, remove the tea bags and discard. Add tea to the espresso by dividing the tea evenly between the two mugs.
Add the milk and simple syrup to the saucepan. Heat the milk to 150 °F over medium heat.
Use a hand-held milk frother or a hand whisk to froth the milk. Rest the foam for about 30 seconds.
Once set, divide the foam evenly on top of the espresso chai liquid in each mug and serve.
