Lawson’s Chip Dip is an easy 3-ingredient sour cream dip perfect for serving with potato chips, veggie sticks, or crackers. This copycat recipe includes cream cheese, sour cream, and Ranch seasoning. It's a great party dip made in 5 minutes.
Mix sour cream and cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl. I combine them by hand with a spoon, but you can mix with an electric mixer if you prefer an extra light and fluffy texture.
Open the seasoning packet, stir it into the mixing bowl, and combine well. Or make your own DIY version by mixing by hand or pulsing the ingredients in a food processor. Add one ounce to the dip, then stir until combined.
Serve immediately with chips or vegetable sticks.
Notes
The DIY seasoning mix yields 3 ounces. You only need ⅓ of the total yield for this recipe. Store leftover in an airtight container for up to 3 months. This chip dip is a great make ahead recipe. You can chill it in the fridge for an hour or longer before serving and let the flavors meld.
